Campaigns are the building blocks to any crowdfunding site. They allow inventors, entrepreneurs, artists, those in need, and anyone with an idea to reach out across a social network to seek funding for their campaign. Over the years many new crowdfunding sites have appeared, but time and again they each have turned out to be mear copies of the sites that came before them.
From the introduction of a ‘Discovery Phase’ to the adaptation of multiple phases, My Window of Opportunity has re-engineered crowdfunding to ensure your success. The following will guide you through the flow of a campaign based upon MWoO’s new model.
The Campaign Panel
The campaign panel is the summary view of a campaign. The panel provides the campaign’s title, team, and status that the campaign is currently in. Let us begin by explaining how the phase system works.
At the bottom of every campaign panel you will find the phase status markers. These markers are divided into 2 sections: the left side being the number of phases that the campaign has (between 1 and 3), while the right side indicates the campaign’s completion status. The following are the phase statuses a campaign phase can consist of:
When the campaign is complete, the final ring will be lit indicating a successfully completed campaign.
The summary portion of the panel will show one of two displays: if the campaign is currently on the “Discovery Phase” then a star-rating system will be provided indicating the average stars voted by the public. [Voting on a campaign will be explained further below.] Otherwise the campaign’s total donations and percentage of the campaign’s goal is displayed along with the number of days remaining in the current phase.
The Campaign Page
Clicking on a campaign panel will navigate the end-user to the campaign’s full page. The following is a breakdown of the sections consisting of a campaign page:
The Phase Panels
This section consists of the existing phases assigned to the campaign. A campaign can have from 1 to 3 phases, but only 1 can be active at a time. Each phase consists of the total pledges, the phase’s financial goals, and a meter indicating the percentage of completion. Phases are also color-coded to indicate if a phase is inactive, active, or complete.
The Campaign Summary
The summary section tallies a total of the entire campaign across all phases, including the percentage of the total goal of the campaign.
Below the phases and summary section is a group of tabs consisting of the Campaign tab, the Activity tab, and the Pledge tab. The campaign tab contains the full description of the campaign along with pictures, diagrams and anything pertinent to the campaign’s goals. The activity tab provides the most recent updates from the campaign’s team as to the progress of the campaign. And finally the pledge tab which provides a list of all pledges submitted to the campaign.
